Welcoming Our New Account Director to Team MJO!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Bernadette Bennett into the role of MJO Communications’ Account Director.

Bernadette, who joins us this month, will be looking after clients on a daily basis as well as managing key projects. Having worked in executive management across major international blue-chip organisations, including Siemens, Panasonic, Compac & Sky, Bernadette brings to MJO in-depth knowledge of IT & media with well-honed organisation skills to ensure smooth delivery of plans & projects.

She also has experience in product development and the retail, healthcare and education sectors.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining MJO just ahead of IBC, where the broadcast industry will be coming together to showcase what’s new in content creation and distribution,” says Bernadette. “I’m really looking forward to working with the team and to getting my teeth into working with our fantastic clients who are at the cutting edge delivering disruptive technologies.”

IBC 2018 kicks off next week in Amsterdam and MJO will be there!

At the show this year, we’re really excited to see real-world examples of new exciting disruptive technologies being applied to drive creativity and transform business models. NEW METRO 52 LINE TO RAI!
8 minutes from Central Station to RAI Europalein

The Amsterdam Noord/Zuid metro line will be operational during IBC2018 and your free GVB travel pass will be valid on this line. This line will connect the North part of the city via Central Station with the RAI stop Europaplein, taking only 8 minutes to travel to the RAI Amsterdam from Central Station.

IBC will again supply 5 Day Free of Charge GVB transport passes which will be issued on a first come first served basis at the show. These will be available from the IBC information points and will be valid for travel between 14 and 18 September inclusive. Please ensure you have your attendee badge to collect your pass.

Introducing Jordan-Lee Pirrie, MJO’s new Marketing Assistant

We’re delighted to announce that Jordan-Lee Pirrie has joined our team in the role of Marketing Assistant. He’ll be supporting us in our day-to-day operations and helping to deliver a variety of client projects, with a strong focus on content creation and social media management.

A recent graduate, Jordan-Lee’s creative experience is broad and includes radio and TV presenting, social media influencing and blogging as well as performance theatre and dance. A true geek at heart with a creative eye, he brings a fresh perspective on the ever-changing world of digital media and broadcasting.

We’re celebrating 10 years of MJO & our MD Melanie wanted to mark the occasion in a meaningful way. So this Sunday 24 January 2016, she’ll be lacing up her trainers & running her first 10K race around Dorney Lake near Windsor UK to raise money for the amazing & inspiring Naomi House Children’s Hospice.

We’re blessed to have been in business for a decade & it’s working for a secure & happy future for our families that makes all the effort worthwhile. Thank you to all our clients, partners & colleagues for your continued support & friendship. Melanie, Alex & Kara are looking forward to working with you all over the coming year.

This Christmas, instead of sending corporate cards & gifts, we’ll be making a donation to Naomi House Children’s Hospice. Every day Naomi House helps to relieve the pressures faced by families caring for a very sick child who won’t live to become an adult. Since 1997 the charity has been able to provide a home-from-home environment to over 600 families, thanks to the support of thousands of individuals, hundreds of volunteers and many local companies, amongst which MJO is proud to stand.

To celebrate MJO’s 10th birthday, Melanie will be running a 10km race on 23rd January to raise more money for this amazing charity.

Pivotal at Devoxx France 2015

We are delighted to be supporting Pivotal at Devoxx France, 8-10 April at the Palais des Congres, Paris.

Devoxx is a conference dedicated to Developers, covering topics such as Java, JVM, NoSQL, web, mobile, architecture, cloud, devops, agility and security. Over 1800 visitors are expected to attend.

Pivotal is a trusted partner for IT innovation, enabling enterprises worldwide to provide modern software-driven experiences for their customers and workforces.
