On Sunday 5 May, Team MJO abseiled down the landmark Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week 2013 and raise money for Naomi House. Thanks to the generous support of friends and family, we raised £1,300.00 for this amazing charity!

Every day Naomi House helps to relieve the pressures faced by families caring for a very sick child who won’t live to become an adult. Since 1997 we have been able to provide a home from home environment to over 600 families, thanks to the support of thousands of individuals, hundreds of volunteers and many local companies.

On Sunday 5 May we’ll be abseiling the 560ft tall Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth in superhero costumes to celebrate Children’s Hospice Week 2013 and raise money for the inspiring Naomi House.

MJO Broadcast to design & build file-based news production facilities for TV South, Ethiopia

14.04.2013. LONDON, UK; ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA:  Fortune Engineering PLC, a leading broadcast and AV Systems Integrator based in Ethiopia, today announced the selection of MJO Broadcast to design and build a new file-based production and play-out centre for their client TV South – a regional TV channel managed by the SNNPR Mass Media Organisation.

The new facilities in Hawassa will enable TV South to deploy efficient file-based workflows to create, manage, distribute and archive locally produced content, in both SD and HD.  The project involves the provision and integration of playout automation, video servers and workflow from Pebble Beach; an Octopus newsroom system, Avid editing and NetApp storage; archiving from DiskArchive, Pixel Power graphics and Ross Video broadcast infrastructure.

MJO Broadcast, an experienced solution design and project management provider, will manage the overall system design and project delivery on behalf of Fortune Engineering, including off-site pre-fabrication and testing, installation, commissioning and training.
